About This Project
This kitchen was transformed from an outdated look to a more luxurious design with a touch of industrial rustic charm. The L-shaped island serves dual purposes, providing the extra storage the homeowners desired and accommodating seating for five in this eat-in kitchen. I incorporated a blend of inset upper cabinets for a modern luxurious aesthetic, complemented by overlay base cabinets for additional storage space. It's crucial to balance timeless elements such as neutral countertops and cabinetry with trendy features, like brass pulls and matte black plumbing fixtures, which can be easily updated in the future.
One of the most impactful changes I designed and implemented was replacing the old bay window with a new Andersen Woodwright unit and expanding it from a small single window to a triple window setup.
Some additional elements that really made this kitchen shine include a prep sink in the island, pot filler, a full quartz backsplash, and a paneled refrigerator/freezer. From dark and dated, to timeless and sophisticated space this kitchen was tailored to the homeowners' needs.
